AMERICAN IDOL GIVES BACK.

those who missed this episode.
go catch a rerun or something.
it is one of those times where you really feel that the world is full of love.
when everyone is there for each other.
and there are many things you can do to make this a really better place.

giving back.
when is it the time for us to do so?

50?
how would we know?
but we have to do it sometime.
we have to put poverty to an end.
where kids no longer have to suffer from aids or malaria.
but things are never perfect.
it will never be perfect.
but how can people pass such judgment on kids???
do they deserve all that?

today is one of those days that we stand together and reflect on oursevles.
what caused the people of current day society to do such drastic actions.
we have been fighting for equality, for meritocracy for so long.
but what have we acheived?
if being look down upon is what contributes to the acitons of the murder.
could we have done more and perhaps stop this incident?

so people search for all your orange and maroon things to wear.
let's commerate these people.
we cannot make time turn back.
so all we can do is relfect on this.
learn from this.
and appreciate and feel sorry for the sacrifices that 34 people have made and for the family and love ones of these 34 people.

when such things happen.
we would do like mass counselling, to ensure that students are feeling better.
maybe not better.
but less shocked.
more calm perhaps.
but guess what these people are doing...

Classes to resume Monday, April 23
The first day of class will involve broad ranging discussion of these events from various perspectives. There will also be discussion of the options, which are available to students concerning their completion of the semester.
Classes will be continued with the elimination of one week of work. Students will have the option of requesting, on a course by course basis, that the semester grade be based on the faculty evaluation of:
Materials which have already been submitted for grade prior to April 16, or
The already submitted material plus any other assigned material which the student wishes to submit for grade, or
The material that would have been submitted for grade upon regular completion of the course.

i mean...
come on.
maybe 34 people in the entire population of your school is a really small number.
but it is 34 people.
it is 34 lives.
it is 34 innocent lives.
can't people put in more effort to value lives?
yes, we have to move on with life.

Ashamed Dreams.

having freedom.
letting us do what we like.
all of us want this.
but when asked of what we truly what.
how many of us can safely say what we desire?

all of us know that deep down.
in that darkest corner, we all have aspirations.
dreams. hopes. expectations that we have for ourselves, that we want to achieve.
but why then when being questioned, our tendency is to hide?
are we ashamed of what we what to be?
are we ashamed of our dreams and aspirations?
are we ashamed of ourselves?

how can people not know about such stuff?
do we truly have no clue.
or are we so unsure of ourselves even at that particular moment.

the all important Xplore was held.
i did not do a good job at all.
it was not good.
but i guess the only excuse i have for myself is that it is my first try at something.
everyone has to have their own first step right?
so maybe this was mine.
until today and i think forever, i would keep thinking about how differently i would handle it.
maybe that was it's purpose to make me learn and grow.
so that the next would be better.
if there is a next that's it.
but through Xplore.
i made a lot of friends.
like grew to know people better.
got to see people more clearly to.
yup.
so that's about Xplore 2007.

i must never ever forget about this time.
the biggest decision that i had to make during the first 17 years of my life happen during this time.
no more sap scholar.
no more headaches and tears about csc and how i am supposed to be good at it when i know i am not.
no need for anymore lies to anyone or myself.
no more trying to kid myself to think that i can do it and be better than those who are born to do this.
but i feel bad.
i feel sorry and i know it is not a right thing.
but everyone was damn nice.
too nice.
making me feel even worse.
when one does such an evil deed.
you don't expect to get nice treatment.
scoldings.punishments.putdowns.
i wanted those.
maybe to making things easier.
that way was easier for me to put it down.
afterall. it was something that i had for quite a time.
finding the hook.
i truly did.
on the last official day of my lessons.
but you know what?
sorry, i cannot let myself continue.
this is my form of protection for myself.
do not wish to see myself reprimanding myself at the end of next year.
i have no room for error.
no chance for error.
this is IT.
so there is no way i can test or trust myself in something that i am not sure of.
